Frequently asked questions
What exactly is included in the price?
Glass, frames, sills and doors, on every clean. That is the standard job rather than an add-on. Conservatory roofs sit outside it and are quoted separately, because they take longer and need a different method.
Do I count panes or whole windows?
Whole windows. A Georgian-style window split into twelve small panes still counts as one window. If you are unsure how to count a large bay or a run of bi-fold doors, put your best estimate in and we will confirm it on the call.
Why does rear access change the price?
Because it changes how long we are on site. A side gate we can walk straight through is quick. A rear road, a long alley, or access only by carrying poles and hose through the house all add time, so the form asks which applies to you.
Why is the first clean more expensive?
The first clean always takes longer, because we are removing however many months of build-up have gathered on the glass and frames. That is why a first clean normally costs about double a standard visit. If you choose a regular package we waive that, so you pay the package rate from the very first visit.
The glass is still wet when you leave. Is that normal?
Yes, and it is how the system is meant to work. The water is filtered until there is nothing left in it to dry as a spot, so the glass is left to dry on its own and dries clear. Wiping it with a cloth afterwards is the one thing that will put marks back on.
What happens after I submit the form?
Your price appears on screen and nothing is booked. If you want to go ahead we take your name, phone number, address and postcode, and a colleague calls you back to confirm which round you will be on and sort out access. We will not put a date to it before that call.
